Better version of travel application which tries to solve issues in the existing applications.
Understanding user problems
Quantitative Research was conducted via survey in which 17 participants actively took part.
Qualitative Research was also conducted via one-on-one interviews, competitive analysis and guerrilla testing.
My observations are as follows:
No proper customer support.
Payment done but no booking.
Hotels charge extra amount even after payment is done.
Rooms image varies from real time experience.
People are not aware of dangerous places.
Lack of personalisation option in the apps.
Comparing prices is time taking process in mobiles.
Due to bad user interface customer paid extra
amount.
Pending refunds for infinite days.
Forced cancellation by property owner and cancellation charges are imposed on customer.
False in-app advertisements. (Hidden charges)

Provide multichannel support by solving customer query through mail, phone etc.
Generate tickets for each and every query.

Provide proper booking confirmation after successful payment.

Clearly communicate the expected delay in time for processing payment.
Provide step-by-step progress indicator and automatic timeout if payment fails.
Digital receipt after booking accommodation and provide FAQ or Quick call option if hotel asks for extra charges.
Provide watermark option with date and time for latest uploaded accommodation images to build trust between customers.
Provide information to users about dangerous places.
Use of AI or public forum data to get information about the places.
Only verified people can join the forum.
Denote places with red mark while user is selecting a place to visit or booking accommodations.
Personalisation of trip should be one of the feature given to the user.
Travel questionnaire should be given to the user so that application can tailor the trip accordingly.
Travel companion matching should be one of the feature given to the user.
AI powered trips based on past search.
Local recommendations like hotels, restaurants, hidden areas etc should be given.
